At age 16, she sneaked into the old Nile Theatre in Mesa, witnessing a suspension demo by piercing prince and fetish guru Steve Haworth. A few years later, Danger became a regular in Haworth’s bod-mod squad of like-minded flesh freaks and worked at his HTC Body Piercing studio.

Vintage ads are an interesting way to look back at American pop culture history. Whether unintentionally funny, cheesy, or in this case, sexist, vintage ads are an entertaining look back at the past. American society, in terms of being sexist, has certainly come a long way since ads like these were prevalent. Or has it?
